Roz Dimon
ROZ DIMON
Roz Dimon is an American artist (b 1953) who draws and paints in all media. Originally from the south, she graduated from The Lamar Dodd School of Art (UGA) and moved to New York City in 1981.
Dimon's subject matter is American culture; secular and sacred. Her work is in numerous collections and she has exhibited and spoken about her work internationally.
An early pioneer in the field of digital art, she invented a process for interactive art and storytelling called a DIMONscape which was Influenced by her studies in iconography post 9/11. These works are in major museums including The 9/11 Memorial Museum.
Dimon is a member of Carter Burden Gallery in New York City and is also an ordained Interfaith Minister.
She and her husband live in Shelter Island with their very spoiled Yorkie, Buda.
